🗓️: June 7 + 14
In this hands-on class with @patinaplume students will design and create their own ceramic jewelry from start to finish.
Students can create earrings, necklaces, bracelets, or mixed sets, and will learn basic wire-working and finishing to make their unique pieces durable & wearable.
Whether you’re new to clay or already familiar with ceramics, this class offers a unique way to connect form, function, and personal style on a small scale.
$20 recommended donation to cover materials, glazes, and kiln firings

10th Annual West End Cowboy Gathering
Join the Nucla community for an evening of Cowboy & Cowgirl Poetry and Music at the 10th Annual event. Family friendly entertainment.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or $18 at the door
Hosted by Nucla Naturita Area Chamber in the Town of Nucla (5 minutes from V).
Concrete Carving Workshop
Join us at V for this special concrete carving workshop weekend with Elder Jones
Over the workshop, students will make a planter or a small sculpture.
Please bring rubber gloves and dust mask, all other supplies included. No power tools are used, no prior sculpting experience required. Optional set of 10 carving tools available for $25.
Day 1 (Fri) – 6-8 PM The class meets, discusses the technique, dry mixes sand and cement and prepares workstations.
Day 2 (Sat) – 9 AM-6 PM The sculpting day is the very active work day. Concrete is wet mixed and placed into cylinder forms to set sufficiently (approx. 3 hrs). Students view images and sketch designs. Lunch break. When mix is ready students carve until finished (5-6 hours).
Day 3 (Sun) – 10 AM-12 PM Students will remove work from workstations, trim foot, and clean up.
WORKSHOP: $325

About Elder Jones-
Elder Jones has been wet carving concrete for forty years. His work consists of planters, steps, figurative sculpture, fountains and public art. He received national attention in the San Francisco Examiner, Southern Living Magazine and on HGTV. His work and technique are featured extensively in the two popular books by Sherri Warner Hunter.
